This folder seems to be for introducing yourself to the group, but there is no thread here, so I made this thread so everyone can introduce themselves. Personally, I am Noble H. Mushtak. I'm a freshman from Marshwood High School in the Pi-Cone South League. I came in twelveth in the regular season and eighth at the state meet. I am a mathlete (obviously), but also a amateur Web developer and competitive programmer. (You can see my Web site here.) I also have a YouTube channel about MAML problems and a Math StackExchange account for asking questions and answering other people's math questions, although I might start posting ARML problems there, too. I qualified for ARML last year, but I wasn't able to go, so I'm really excited to go to ARML this year! I think I will do well on the Power Questions and the easier of the Individual Rounds since I'm good at proofs and was able to get the first five and the tenth Individual Problems in the FAB42 right under the 10-minute-for-2-problems time limit.

Alright, I'm Conor Thompson. I'm a senior at Bangor High. This will be my sixth (yes, I did this in middle school) year at ARML. I was joint-first in the regular season with Elliot from Scarborough and also got a 72 at the state meet. Besides math, I do science bowl, debate, chess team, and play a number of sports, none of which I'm any good at. My extra-extra-curricular interests include watching soccer and being very depressed at the performances of my team, drawing road maps and highway interchange diagrams, and doing random assorted things. I also like reading lots of things and particularly recommend the Wheel of Time series, the complete works of Brandon Sanderson, the webcomic Homestuck, and the web novel Unsong. The first three are all particularly lengthy -- WoT runs 14 books at 900 pp/book and features 2782 named characters, Sanderson's written seven considerable books, and Homestuck is 8000 panels long. I seem to have a thing for excessively convoluted works of fiction.
I look forward to meeting all those of you that I haven't met and seeing all of you that I have on the trip. I think we have the potential to be a really good team this year, so I'm looking forward to seeing how we do. Who knows, we might even get a nonzero number of points on the relay!

Hi folks,
This is "Dr. Mike" ... the trip's resident physicist!
I competed at ARML for the team from New Hampshire in 1988 and have spent more than 10 years as a contest question writer (for physics), so I am in tune with the "evil" that goes into creating contest questions. My hope is to show you a few things to help you to solve difficult problems fairly quickly. I live in Michigan (used to teach at MSSM) so I shall be meeting all of the new folks for the first time on the trip and hopefully saying hello to many friends from last year's trip!
Dr. Mike
